The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continues to adapt the state quality assurance system to international ISO and NATO AQAP standards. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
Specialists of the Main Department of State Quality Assurance of the Ministry of Defence have launched the development of two professional standards: "Auditor of quality systems of enterprises of the defense-industrial complex" and "Specialist in state quality assurance."
These standards will establish uniform qualification requirements for the professional competence of employees who will be responsible for defense procurement. Thus, it will be possible to assess personnel who will deal with defense procurement issues and, if necessary, send these people to advanced training courses.
The main tasks of the specialist "auditor of quality systems of defense-industrial complex enterprises" will be:
· organizing and conducting audits of quality management systems to ensure that they comply with international ISO standards and NATO AQAP series standards;
· analysis of risks associated with ensuring the life cycle of products for the defense sector;
· evaluating the results of implemented quality assurance measures and formulating recommendations for improving quality management systems.
According to the professional standard "state quality assurance specialist", the tasks will be as follows:
· development of draft laws and regulations in the field of state quality assurance;
· preparation and implementation of international agreements on cooperation in state quality assurance;
· adaptation and implementation of national and military standards based on NATO standards in the field of quality assurance.
It is noted that after the development is completed, the draft professional standards will be submitted for public discussion.
By the way, in September, the Ministry of Defence completed the transformation of the defense product quality assurance system. At that time, the department stated that the principle of total quality control would be replaced by a modern model of partnership relations with manufacturers, based on international NATO and EU standards.
