The Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive new digital services based on the Impulse system – Ministry of Defence
The digital military personnel accounting system Impulse will become the basis for creating new services and developing other IT products in the military to help close various requests during service. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
The defense ministry claims that servicemen will be able to see their military ID, receive electronic leave certificates, monitor vacation days and seniority, as well as keep records of weapons, property, and payments.
Currently, "Impulse" is already being deployed in military units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and optimizes the work of personnel services, "combat" and commanders. The role of the system is as follows:
- For the personnel department, this means automating routine tasks, quickly generating orders, certificates, and reports without manually copying data.
- For the "combat unit" - this is a single military card, where all service events are recorded, which ensures consistency of information about the unit.
- For commanders, this is analytics on the manning and readiness of units, available instantly upon request.
The Ministry of Defence noted that the system operates in a closed, secure loop. Access to information is provided by roles and levels, and all user actions are recorded.
The system was developed by the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where IT specialists with civilian experience in developing digital products serve. Deployment in the military is provided by units of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that in late September, Defence Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced the deployment of the digital military accounting system "Impulse" in the Defense Forces. In June 2025, it became known that the "Impulse" system is being tested in more than 20 military units.
