The Ministry of Defence has approved an industry security profile  a set of rules for protecting information systems that process open, confidential, or official information. This is stated in a statement from the Ministry of Defence.

It was explained here that the document defines uniform minimum requirements for cyber protection of systems used in the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the State Special Transport Service.

The department added that the document was created in accordance with international standards and national legislation, taking into account the specifics of the defense industry.

"The main goal of the profile is to provide a unified approach to data protection, increase the level of cybersecurity, and simplify the assessment of system compliance. The profile contains requirements for access, data protection, security monitoring, as well as recommendations for the implementation of administrative and technical measures. All structural units that will work with the profile will be trained in its application," the Ministry of Defence noted.

By the way, in early October, the Verkhovna Rada took a step towards creating the Cyber Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and adopted as a basis draft law No. 12349. According to Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal, among the main tasks of the Cyber Force will be:

- protection of electronic communications systems and technological process control systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

- preparation and conduct of military cyber operations;

- military cooperation with NATO and other partners to counter common threats in cyberspace.
