In 2026, 70% of purchases of unmanned aerial vehicles are planned to be carried out through the DOT-Chain Defence digital platform. This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Defence Ivan Havrylyuk, the Ministry of Defence reports.

He spoke about this during the presentation of the study "Corruption Risks During the Procurement of Unmanned Systems and Electronic Warfare Means for the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

According to him, there are currently over 500 drone manufacturers in Ukraine. He also noted that the Ministry of Defense is decentralizing procurement, which is happening through the DOT-Chain Defence digital platform.

Thanks to it, military units can purchase the UAV models they need directly from the manufacturer. The order fulfillment time is on average up to two weeks.

Ivan Havrylyuk added that using DOT-Chain Defence will avoid the intervention of intermediaries, and therefore corruption risks when purchasing drones.

Earlier, the defense ministry reported that the military would order electronic warfare equipment through the DOT-Chain Defense system.
