The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved amendments to the regulatory framework that simplify the procedure for purchasing unmanned systems, electronic warfare (EW) equipment and their components for the needs of the front. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

From now on, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to directly purchase both ready-made systems and individual components for them — electric motors, batteries and other unified parts. This should eliminate bureaucratic barriers that previously slowed down the delivery of equipment to the front.

"This decision will help provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary UAVs and EW equipment more quickly and efficiently, strengthening the combat capability of the Defence Forces," said Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Before the changes were adopted, the procurement process was complicated by the requirement for a full package of documents for a codified product, which created additional difficulties for suppliers and delayed the provision of military supplies.

The changes concern the procurement of tactical-level systems and components of domestic production. This will allow Ukrainian manufacturers to independently control the transparency of procurement.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine also reported that they are starting to purchase body armor, which allows military personnel to stay afloat with equipment and weapons.
