The Ministry of Defence has allocated an additional UAH 1.9 billion for the purchase of drones and other equipment through DOT-Chain Defence. This was announced by the head of the defense department, Denys Shmyhal.

He also added that 50 more brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are joining the marketplace  now 180 units are already working through the system.

According to the Minister of Defence, in three months, almost 100 thousand drones worth UAH 3.74 billion were delivered to the army through DOT-Chain Defence. The average delivery time for equipment "from stock" is 10 days.

"DOT-Chain Defence is a convenient and transparent system where units themselves choose the necessary means, and the Defense Procurement Agency takes on the bureaucracy," he recalled.

In early October, the agency's director, Arsen Zhumadilov, said that AOZ plans to transfer 70% of state procurement of FPV drones, heavy bombers, and reconnaissance UAVs to the DOT-Chain Defence system within six months.

It also recently became known that the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace is being scaled up to purchase defense goods for the needs of the National Guard of Ukraine.
